About Rena Lange
Rena Lange was established in 1916 in Germany by Martha Lange as a lingerie shop. By 1953, her nephew Peter Gunthert started making gowns and suits from his client’s requests, and the brand launched its first prêt-a-porter collection in 1982. Peter Gunthert’s son Daniel took over as CEO in 1996 and modernized the luxury brand’s traditional style.
The fashion house offered feminine elegance and stylish sophistication of the highest level. Classic straight lines and romantic elements, like this Rena Lange silk jacket, united in a modern and artistic way. Unfortunately, the brand could not expand its business, and declared bankruptcy in 2014.
